I am Rich!

Great day today. Hubby finally arrives! So glad, for I can't avoid to feel anxious about long flights. His flight was delayed for an hour so I and my mother-in-law have plenty of time waiting in the airport. My nail polish set came in the mail too, not that it mattered but I was surprised for Hubby made the company include a "love note" for me. Mylove is ever so romantic. Mmhh, I was so touched. I also got my first approved post in ppp :-D and other programs paid too. They emailed him and the forwarded message hubby sent me was, "I am rich!" Lol.. Yes, I am, for my husband is home!

Rob Zombie: Halloween the movie!

This August 31st, 2007 in theaters everywhere, Rob Zombie will unleash the unique vision of a legendary tale, Halloween the movie! Are you excited and ready? I have watched horror movies since I was a child, gripping at our seats in fear and excitement with those on masked evils. But how will you take this one: Evil has destiny! That is Halloween the movie! Very intriguing horror story.

Rob Zombie’s vision of this bit of a prequel and a 1978 remake film, combined, is an entirely new take on the legend that will hopefully satisfy movie fans of the classic “Halloween”, while opening a new chapter in Michael Myers life.

After being committed for 17 years, Michael Myers, now a grown man and still very dangerous, is mistakenly released from the mental institution (where he was committed as a 10 year old) and he immediately returns to Haddonfield, Illinois, where he wants to find his baby sister, Laurie. Anyone who crosses his path is in mortal danger.

I watched the trailer of the movie; it was scary, disturbing, and so intriguing. Watch this online trailer and let your hair at the back of your neck stand on their own, and prepare for a lot of grabbing and groping around each other when you watch it in theaters the 31st.

Fortune saved for Trouble

Two grandchildren received nothing, but a pampered dog named Trouble received the largest bequest from Mrs. Helmsley's will. Lucky dog. How will the dog spend it, only the dead knows.

Lucky dog inherits $12m fortune

New York hotelier and real estate billionaire Leona Helmsley has left $12m (£5.97m) to her pet dog, Trouble. The pampered pooch received the largest bequest from Mrs. Helmsley's will.

The will also says that when Trouble dies, she is to be buried alongside Mrs. Helmsley, who died last week, and her late husband in their mausoleum.

But some human members of Mrs. Helmsley's family fared less well, with two of her four grandchildren cut out of the will entirely.

Mrs. Helmsley, who died last week, was dubbed the "Queen of Mean" by the US media, and was known for her tough approach to business.

Innovative Tutor

Before we cousins stepped on the first grade, we already know how to read and write and some basic things. Why? We have a tutor. My sister. I was really grateful to that what was intended to be a childhood plaything, became our basic education that made us went ahead of the class. Now of course I would also send my child/ren to an innovative tutoring environment aside from my own teaching. Thinking about Score’s Innovative Tutor. With their personal academic coaching, positive reinforcement and a customized curriculum that adapts to each child's pace and learning needs, it seems very beneficial to the parents and the children, helping them achieve their goals and reach their academic potential in math, reading, spelling and writing. Great help for our children’s excellence.

Total Lunar Eclipse

Good morning peeps. I am laterally of no sleep. Last night, or early at 3a.m was still chatting with hubby, he will be coming home in three days now, yes! But I really didn't intend to sleep for I was waiting for the time when the moon will turn red, lunar eclipse! Sleep can wait but I want to be there and witness the universal affair of the sun, the earth and the moon. Hmm. Was a bit reluctant to go out but I was not afraid to and found the sky was so clear, and the moon was perfectly in sight over the trees just for me to see it clear while sitting on the rocking chair on the porch. I felt lucky and special, lol. I shot more than a hundred photos and hubby was not surprised. :-)

Red Moon Rising

Did I say I love Astronomy? Another rare and beautiful celestial phenomenon. Turn your eyes skyward for lunar eclipse Early tomorrow, Tuesday, August 28, 2007. The early stages of the eclipse will start at 4:51 a.m. EDT, but the true darkness will begin at 5:52 a.m. EDT. Be watching for the red moon rising..

Moon glows in early light show: Total eclipse of the moon.

yahoo photoIf you're willing to get up in the small hours of Tuesday morning, that's something like what you'll see on the face of the full moon during the total lunar eclipse. Shades of orange and ochre should flit across the lunar surface, infusing its usual gray with an autumn-colored blush.

The show starts about 2:50 a.m. and runs a good 90 minutes, about as long as many movies these days. But this flick is free, other than the cost of a little lost sleep.

"The color on the moon is from the glow of sunsets and sunrises all over the Earth," she said. "That's what's being reflected onto the moon and causing that red color. Isn't that awesome?"

You know that the truth hurts, but living a life of lies is much worse.

So while you're definitely kind and supportive, you don't pull any punches with your friends.
Everyone knows where they stand with you. And what you like and dislike about them.

While some may be initially turned off by your honesty, your friends have come to consider it a virtue.
After all, in world of white lies and deceptive politeness, you can be counted on for honesty and integrity.

Your friends need you most when: They need good advice or an intelligent opinion

You really can't be friends with: Needy, emotional people

Your friendship quote: "True friendship can afford true knowledge. It does not depend on darkness and ignorance."

How far man will go

You must have heard about Google earth, or maybe Google Moon, or Google Mars, eh? All about google, lol. Astromony week! Now, the constellations of Andromeda, Hydra and Vulpecula (who or what are they by the way? Lol, kidding!), are now just a mouse click away for amateur stargazers. Google Earth, a program that allows users to search a 3D rendition of our planet's surface, a great way to search the planet for landmarks, features, and to generally waste time, has a new add-on tool, Google Sky. One click will turn your attention up to the universe. Sky will allow astronomers a chance to glide through images of more than one million stars and 200 million galaxies. Imagery for the system came from six research institutions including the Digital Sky Survey Consortium, the Palomar Observatory in California and the United Kingdom Astronomy Technology Centre. Much of the imagery can be found through searches on the Internet but Google hope the add-on will be simpler and more fun; it is a jolly good thing. The sky you will be seeing will be a completely clear and you will be able to see objects which are very faint indeed - that you can only see with very large telescopes. That is cute, educational and entertaining. Hhmm, I remember my planetarium day. So much grander.

Google Sky is not the only tool that allows astronomers to explore the night sky from their computer. There are already many applications available that allow you to browse the night sky from the comfort of your PC, and many of them have more notes and information. However, some of these apps are commercial and only available for a hefty fee to students or educational institutions. Imaginova's Starry Night offers a range of software packages aimed at beginners to "the serious astronomer". Google Earth, on the other hand, is free. Another is Stellarium, a free open source tool that gives people a chance to access more than 210 million stars, in addition to planets and moons. Oh well, the world is getting smaller, I mean, the universe is. - bbc news excerpts

Meteor Garden

It seems I am gonna miss this one. Just say your wishes for me, lol. It appears there are many astronomical happenings these days. I still have my diary entry of March 25, 1996, I was just a teenager then, posting about my witnessing the "Kayakutake" comet; I can't believe I even sketched it in the journal! Mmhh, was just interested in those comets and celestial things shining for our enjoyment and satisfaction, knowing we might not see them again in our lifetime, lol.

Peter Jenniskens, Ph.D.
Meteor Astronomer, Carl Sagan Center, SETI Institute
SPACE.com Thu Aug 23, 10:30 AM ET

The meteors that are about to rain down in the early morning of September 1, 2007 date from around 4 A.D.. Our latest calculations indicate Earth is about to cross the dust trail of comet Kiess, a comet that takes some 2000 years to complete one orbit around the Sun. The trail is very narrow, so Earth will be hosed by meteoroids for only about an hour and a half. The meteoroids will approach from the direction of the constellation Auriga, the charioteer, in the north-eastern part of the sky, causing a meteor shower called the "Aurigids."

The shower is visible from only part of the world. If you live in the western parts of the USA, Canada and Mexico, including Hawaii and Alaska, you might spot an Aurigid meteor. Plan to step out around 4 A.M. PDT give or take 20 minutes in the early morning, away from city smog, with the Moon behind an obstruction, and with a wide view on the sky. Gaze up at the sky, waiting, and you may spot one of these elusive bits of matter that Comet Kiess lost 2000 years ago.

This is your only chance to see this shower; the dust trail is not going to hit again in our lifetime. If you spot one of those meteors, you may be only the fourth person alive who is known to have seen this meteor shower. In recent times, the shower was spotted in 1994 by two observers and in 1986 by one observer. If you are lucky enough to catch a picture of an Aurigid meteor using your digital camera, you will be the very first to do so. Tips on how to observe meteors and where to report the results can be found at: http://aurigid.seti.org

Dead Sea Salt

The Dead Sea. If you don’t talk you are often called a dead sea. No outlet? Everything flows into the Dead Sea, no rivers drain out from it. That means that it is of lowest elevation. What’s down there? White crystals of salt covering everything! And this is no ordinary table salt, and even about ten times the salinity of the oceans. And what I often hear when I was a child about the Dead Sea was not heresy at all. The high mineral content and the detoxifying properties of these special salts are essential to skin health and proper moisture balance, cleanse and detoxify naturally, pulling the toxins out and away from the body. One doesn’t have to go over to the Dead Sea to avail the benefit of that healing salt, and to achieve the same results as soaking in the Dead Sea. Now you can do it in the convenience of your own home with the dead sea salt.

The Bottomless Pit?

Astronomers find a hole in the universe
AP Science Writer Fri Aug 24, 7:45 AM ET

WASHINGTON - Astronomers have stumbled upon a tremendous hole in the universe.. The cosmic blank spot has no stray stars, no galaxies, no sucking black holes, not even mysterious dark matter. It is 1 billion light years across of nothing. That's an expanse of nearly 6 billion trillion miles of emptiness, a University of Minnesota team announced Thursday.

... said Minnesota astronomy professor Lawrence Rudnick, author of the paper that will be published in Astrophysical Journal. "It's not clear that we have the right word yet ... ( Could it be the bottomless pit?, :-D ) This is too much of a surprise." ... one area of the universe had radio pictures indicating there was up to 45 percent less matter in that region, Rudnick said. The rest of the matter in the radio pictures can be explained as stars and other cosmic structures between here and the void, which is about 5 to 10 billion light years away. Rudnick then checked observations of cosmic microwave background radiation and found a cold spot. The only explanation, Rudnick said, is it's empty of matter.

Retired NASA astronomer Steve Maran said of the discovery: "This is incredibly important for something where there is nothing to it."

Alzheimer's Memory Walk for Charity

Alzheimer's or Alzheimer's disease is a major public health challenge. Approximately 24 million people over the age of 65 worldwide are living with Alzheimer’s. The first readily identified symptoms of Alzheimer's disease are usually short-term memory loss and visual-spatial confusion, then progress to more pervasive loss of memory, then to loss of other familiar and well-known skills as well as recognition of objects and persons, deterioration of musculature and mobility, leading to bed fastness, inability to feed oneself, and incontinence.

Actually I am surrounded here with people of over 65 years of age, and thank God they are still as healthy. But how about of those millions of others who are suffering from that elderly disease? In the United States of America, AD was the 7th leading cause of death in 2004, with 65,829 number of deaths (and rising). But it is great to know that there are foundations that raise awareness over them and help raise funds for Alzheimer’s care, and we can be part of them.

The Alzheimer's Association Memory Walk® is the nation's largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer care, support and research – and it calls on now for volunteers of all ages to become champions in the fight against Alzheimer's. They need team captains now to sign up early to recruit a team and raise funds for the cause. There are walks in hundreds of communities. A typical Memory Walk is a 2-3 mile walk held on a weekend morning in the fall.

Memory Walk
Starting a team is easy. Invite three people, and they'll invite three people - and before you know it, you'll have a team. Teams are the heart of Memory Walk - people working together to support the millions affected by Alzheimer's. Team up to have fun, make new friends and support a great cause. Ask for donations from co-workers, friends, neighbors and family members. Many people are happy to help when they know you're fundraising for a good cause. By teaming up with the Alzheimer's Association, you can walk with a purpose – and move us closer to a world without Alzheimer's.

3 Natural Cures That Work

It was just a tv series, JITP, that I happen to adore their ancient culture background, and get interested with healing people the natural, primitive way. But for more decades, western doctors dismiss most alternative treatments as bunk. Recently, there has been a sea change of their acceptance, and that even some of the most skeptical M.D.s are getting behind certain cures - including these three you can do at home:

1. YOGA. The blendy body moves can lower bad cholesterol, fight migraines and even lessen depression, research shows. Try this pose from yoga: Lie on your back with your butt as close to a wall as possible, legs straight up and pressed against the wall. Hold for three to ten minutes. From yoga guro Rodney Yee.

2. MEDITATION. It has been shown to improve heart health and cut stress, and some research suggests it may bolster your immunity. Start your morning with mini-meditation: sit quietly, eyes closed, and clear your mind and just breath. Simple but powerful.

3. ACUPRESSURE. Just pressing on certain points on the body has been shown to reduce nausea and fight pain. Next time you fel headachecoming on try this: Firmly massage the tender spot in the web of skin between your thumb and index finger for 60 seconds.

Saved by the Spoon

Do you still believe in miracles? Joy Horton for sure not just believes in them but has just experienced a live-saving one. The 73-year-old woman was preparing some food in her western New York home on Monday morning when she dropped a spoon on the floor of her kitchen. Just when she bent down, her house exploded, leveled her home in the Wayne County town of Sodus, on Lake Ontario about 25 miles east of Rochester and because she was bending down when the explosion occurred, the kitchen sink and counter top helped keep debris from hitting her. She wasn't seriously injured. She crawled out from underneath the rubble and walked to her daughter's home nearby to get help. The cause of the explosion remains under investigation; (mao ni ron.) I take that a divine intervention; miracles still happen everyday, it is not just a coincidence, and the dropping of the spoon on the floor is not an accident either. See, that is what makes it the more amazing to know that very small things we don’t expect will be used to save us, even a spoon, just to remind us of something so big.. - cbc.ca

The Pink Hello Kitty and the Police Officer

How is it for police officers to be accompanied by whoever is the deputy chief on duty for the day while wearing pink Hello Kitty arm band? (take note, to be accompanied, not to accompany). If they are found engaging in "inappropriate" behaviour: speak too aggressively to civilians, who fail to turn off their engines when they park their cars, or commit other minor violations of proper conduct, they know they will be bearing the bright pink moon-faced global icon of cuteness as punishment. Well, why Hello Kitty? because the symbol is pink and easy to see. Unique, huh? That's in Thailand. Why do police officers anywhere tend to be like that, I wonder. Seems written reprimands don't work, and this cartoon cat on their sleeves for one day are intended to engender their feelings of guilt, would shame officers into shaping up. If not, second offences will be dealt with by a disciplinary panel that could decide to detain the misbehaving officers. Kind of funny, huh? but this is serious one. :-D:-D

So What If I'm A Lefty?

I was using the new stir fry scoop and I exclaimed, "this is for right-handed people!" I can still remember one child cousin who was slapped many times on his hand when he was experimenting with the pencil and tried to draw. But no matter how his parents wanted him to use his right hand, he really went on the lefty way. But no matter, I'm proud to be a lefty, the only in the family. I can still write with my right hand, but on the boards, or walls, etc. ( I don't vandal hah.) It is so much easier to write on the chalkboards with my right hand, but all the rest I use with my left hand. The thickness of the chalk compared to ball pen's does not matter, so maybe it is the position of the board? :-D So what if you are a lefty in a right-handed world? No big deal. One advantage is being in the league of:

Michaelangelo / Leonardo daVinci / Pablo Picasso / Albert Einstein / George H. W. Bush / Bill Clinton / Ronald Reagan / Bill Gates / Nikola Tesla / Isaac Newton / Benjamin Franklin / Fidel Castro / Tom Cruise / Angelina Julie / and Lotis. Who? :-D / among so many others. :-D

As Iron Sharpens Iron

I have just read the message in my inbox from one of our church leaders in the Philippines. A good message about that whom our soul longs for kindred spirit, friends.

As iron sharpens iron,
so a man sharpens the countenance of his friend.
Proverbs 27:17

The Christian life is a pilgrimage. At times the road is difficult, and we get lonely. Sometimes we may become discouraged and consider abandoning the journey. It is at such times that God will place a friend alongside us. One of God's most precious gifts to us is friends who encourage us and lovingly challenge us to "keep going". According to Scripture, a friend is one who challenges you to become all that God intends. Jonathan could have succeeded his father to become the next king of Israel. But he loved his friend David, and he encouraged him to follow God's will, even though it meant Jonathan would forfeit his own claim to the throne. (1 Sam. 19:1-7) The mark of biblical friends is that their friendship draws you closer to Christ. They "sharpen" you and motivate you to do what is right. True friends tell you the truth and even risk hurting feelings because they love you and have your best interests at heart. (Prov. 27:6) Be careful in your choice of friends! Jesus chose His closest friends wisely. He did not look for perfect friends, but friends whose hearts were set to follow God. It is equally important to examine the kind of friend you are to others. As a friend, it is your duty to put the needs of others first (Prov. 17:17). Strive to find godly friends who will challenge you to become the person God desires. When you have found them, be receptive to the way God uses them to help you become spiritually mature. Strive also to be the kind of friend that helps others become more like Christ.

Dean is mean

I spotted it the enews the other day that there is that hurricane Dean coming. Hubby reminded me about it today. Ohmy, well, nothing to be alarmed of yet. I looked at the national hurricane center website address he sent me and I got this probability they graph. The NHC Photo below shows the wind speed probabilities, granting it won't change its bearing. It seem relatively small at our location but might still be quite significant, since they indicate that there is a chance that a damaging or even extreme event could occur that warrants preparations to protect lives and property. Dean, don't be mean! :-D

Fil-West Relationships.. Interesting!

-- Are Filipino guys more traditional? If so, does that mean their values are more intact than that of foreigners?
-- Is the stereotype true that Westerners have a less of a sense of spirituality?

-- What about a foreigner's view of commitment in a relationship?
-- How are they as mates- are they jealous, possessive?
-- Is it true that normally a stronger woman is better off with a foreigner?

Are Filipino guys more traditional? If so, does that mean their values are more intact than that of foreigners?
- Speaking of, my husband is very traditional, and so has strong values... Filipinos are traditional, but nowadays generally, guys are very ambitious, esp. in their choice of partners, they’re getting off traditional, unsa to, dili mangasawa ug dili nurse, kahilas pud, maau mag-doctor.. Magpabuhi cguro sa asawa. hehe joke dalang tinuod. Few good men westerners and Filipinos alike still stick to a good tradition, the world is not that ruined after all.

Is the stereotype true that Westerners have a less of a sense of spirituality?
- Being a Filipino does not mean one has a good sense of spirituality, being religious maybe, big difference there, same is true with westerners. And I am glad my husband has strong sense of spirituality.

What about a foreigner's view of commitment in a relationship?
- It is the same with the peoples from any point on the globe, it is the individual’s conviction and principles and the choice he makes towards being committed or not; but generally, foreigners are more loving in that they treat their Filipina partners as their princesses. On the other side, kung kinsa pay uyamot, mao pay magbinuang, mangulata, palahubog, etc, hehe. Sad but it happens.

How are they as mates- are they jealous, possessive?
- My husband is very jealous and possessive, but why, I’m jealous too, but we don’t choke each other by our jealousy; it’s flattering sometimes because some jealousy can be healthy too. It is deep trust that ease it.

Is it true that normally a stronger woman is better off with a foreigner?
- I don’t think Mr. Cupid includes shyness or strength in his criteria of targeting the arrow, just kidding…. it’s a long way, half of the world away; he must be precise, hehe, not so funny.. It does not matter really in our level of confidence in ourselves or our strength, but one thing does, your soul mate will always be a complement to yourself, no matter a westerner or not. But even the weak in spirit will be strong in a foreigner's land.

What I'm saying is, that we are all equal in this world, no one is supreme, westerner or not, whatever skin color we have, whatever country we were raised in, we all gasp for breath, it is what is in the heart that matters, and how we value our relationships. (I got this tag from Melody, a woman who is into mixed relationship herself, like me, :-) I'll pass this to dai Annie. :-))

To The Funeral

It was so hot today and it rained so heavy! Is it always like that when someone would be buried? Hehe. It was good it poured just for a while.. I have been to a funeral service and burial of my father-in-law's 83 year old brother today. I never had a chance to see him when he was alive, but observing from the testimonies about him, for sure I would have laughed with him. I had been introduced to countless relatives of his side that I could not recall all their names. If hubby didn't tell me to wear dark clothes, I would have worn white or something that portrays hope and life after death. I wore my favorite color bluegreen, executive! I didn't just see a peaceful face in him but by the way I saw it, there is something so calm, a relief in him. It must be the same way with Lola. They had been so sick for so long, that even the dead were relieved.

Woman's Intuition

I was not wise enough to be 'more' quicker to find, prove and reveal it out. But no matter how clever those devious people are, they're still stupid to leave crumbs to be caught without their evil expectations. I felt so betrayed, and my family, so disrespected, and ill-treated, so unprotected.

I am afraid there is a serpent in my paradise poised and ready to strike; crept behind my back and has started biting me. If you ever see anything relating to me, edited or not outside my friendster and this blog, do not think too harshly of me, know how the serpent crept to betray me to feed the flesh of its kind.

Out, So Hot

I had been to Alexandria mall (again) today, this time with my 10-minute-ride-away neighbor, Joy. I had been there recently, but I didn't refuse to go with her, for anyway, she'll do the driving, and I can pick some groceries for myself, and most of all while we're doing our things, I could help push the cart for her 4 y.o. son while she pushed her youngest's stroller; all the same, we're helping each other as we enjoy the company, and again, I ate at her house. It is just fun to eat with company, you experienced that? I was having fun under the 107 degrees sun today, and in a bit, be resting beneath the moon. So much for that. I was glad I went out, though it was SO HOT. I checked the internet of today's highs, but it says 103 degress, maybe, but was sure saw the board said otherwise. It does not matter anyway. -Be well.

I did my first Internet shopping on my own yesterday. Hubby told me to pick what I want so I just let him see what were in the shopping cart. Surprise, surprise? Nah! I ordered pocket books, Gaither DVDs, love languages book and one photo software. After one book author commented, I was intrigued and honored that she once had been here :-) , so got one also from amazon; can't wait to have them to see. I was excited. You think I am a nun? I will watch the DVDs but I will eventually give them to the church, they're inspiring. We just love music!

Leeford Plucking

I received a comment in my friendster, it was from my youngest brother, 13. It surprised me for before, basically, I was better than him in guitar (I play lefty! it's hard), but now, I'm just a small fraction of his long fingers. My eldest sister and also our cousin taught him how to play the guitar. Look at what he has done. It's the intro music of the Leader of the band song.

I Confess..

I got this tag from Melody! The tag is to write three things that people don't know about me, and pass this on to more than one blogger. gotcha.

1. I don't speak as much as I write. I am not not a babbling brook, but am not a dead sea either.

2. I can still memorize the very first chapter of my grade 1 English, Henny Penny, until now. :-)

3. I kept all my notebooks from 1st grade to college, but my sister carried the boxes from my cabinets away to the back of our house. My 4rt grader cousin then picked some of them, and I eventually gave them up and laid it away for all those children who were then coming with him. :-D :-D :-D, the notes and books were so old, all I was after of of them was to see how I was doing during those times. It would be funny..

I pass this to dai Bulak, Darlene and Ivy.

The Cat And The Shredder

Olady gishih my goodness! My Kleenex rolled to the floor, and then I heard the shredder went off. My cat! No, her cute thick furry tail like a feather duster was not shredded. I put a picture on the table, and I was alarmed if it was it; I couldn't recover the photo. When the shredding machine stopped, I inspected inside, and alas, the one I feared, it was really Amanda's picture fresh from Iraq that Lady Gishi kicked down directly and perfectly to the shredding slot! I was nervous and so guilty. You see, I will never tear any picture, no matter who is in print, much more shredding it, or make my cat do it even how accidental; for it is like tearing the real person apart, tearing their faces in pieces; well, that's what I feel. I will hide the album from view, lay it down, or cover it, but I will never tear or shred photos. It was just okay with hubby since I just had it scanned (ie why it was on the table) in high resolution. It was a relief. Cats are something else, :-D por bida! I won't dare think it was my cat's tail being shredded either. Cats are slow and effeminate, but in defense, they're so fast and quick, with their slow estimation, they can be precise.. No more picture shredding.

I Changed

I changed the entire layout here, and try to at least follow one good design, not just my own practice thing; can't help it, still must do something to it. It's a two column beautiful layout but I want three. Not that it's important, but at least, not much to change as of this time. . . ano ba talaga kuya.. I was chatting with hubby yesterday (he is in Doha, Qatar right now) and when he exit for a while for a meeting, I was able to do it. No more concerns for now. We can not judge the book by its cover anyway. Be well.

The Woman Behind Me

Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies. But I found her, I was fortunate to be her daughter. I got this tag from Darlene, a good woman herself.

Ten random thoughts about my mother...

First of all, I admit I miss my mother; my father too; and also my 4 sisters, and yes, my two brothers. :-) Random thoughts about the woman behind me.

1. Very patient person, so patient. And i must say that I had tried her patience so many times, more than my other siblings had :-( i'm guilty of that.

2. She is selfless, and has forgiving heart, keeping the family in times of great trials. If it was not for her... she is so strong a woman, you can always count on her.

3. She is resourceful. In times of difficulty and nothingness she can find a way. Even mangutang sa panahon na walang wala na jud. Di baya lalim. Naa jud na na time. She attends to the needs of the family. You can rely on her always.

4. She budgets well, and she has a term "pang tabas tabasan" ang unsay nakabudget na, itapak sa uban.

5. She so good in doing laundry. She could stay whole day hand washing delicate clothes, we'll just do the cooking.

6. Nah, she laughs out so loud, like me, :-D , her voice will get to my eardrums; I miss that voice, the voice that nagged on me many times.

7. She is Godly religious. "We will serve the Lord" is her priority, we, family.

8. She is very sensitive, especially with regards to my father. I also got her yam-id style. hehe

9. She's a very good friend, very loyal. She has so many friends.

10. She massaged us every time we were not feeling good. Those hands, I miss those hands. Nag-emotional na ko diri.... I copied her style of taking care of us.

I pass this to Melody.

The Face Behind The Blog

Scary? :-D I am simple but principled. I am a child of God. I have six siblings, (that's fun, especially when we are all grown up); was teased as tomboy when I was a child. I'm the third and the first to get married, the least the people expected in us, 5 ladies. Grade school valedictorian and honor student in college; city scholar for three years. I am a licensed civil engineer, and a registered master plumber in the Philippines. I am just saying... I set them aside. I have a family and clan who laugh and can gather neighbors around to laugh with us. Life is short, we should be happy despite the hardships we have. After all, laughter is a good medicine; a merry heart makes a good countenance. That's my family. As loud as my laughter can be, that much I can be quiet. I'd rather people shut up than hear them talk nonsense and irrational if it's not really funny. I am generous but I don't want to be taken advantage of. One word is enough for a wise man, two words enough for me, three words are too much. I have had my ups and downs in life but through it all, I'm here blogging about the beauty of being here; happily married to the most wonderful man who spoils me as I do him, I love, I am proud and grateful for him; full time proud housewife; love music, I sing while doing household chores; myopic; stoic; I am an appreciative person but can be equally critical; number one cat hater/kicker before, annoyed sometimes but enjoyed the company of my cat, Lady Gishi, so much when alone. Cats are something else; love horses; belly dance in spare time; love comedy movies, adventure and romance; I write poems; love to travel; considers hubby in my dressing up, make up, etc.; I hate gossips and so spicy foreign foods; my favorite passage: all things work together for good to them that love God… That's my resume, I mean, that's at least all about me. :-D The face behind the blog?

And here’s the instruction to this meme :

1st step - Post a short blog article that includes a photograph (or a series of photos) showing the face behind your blog. If you already showed a photo somewhere on your site (such as in your about page), then make your post more interesting and choose a photo that’s not currently online.

2nd step - Include links to other people that have displayed a photo, or include their photos in your post, adding a reference.

3rd step - Tag as many others as you like in your post to spread the meme.

4th step -If you link back to me here and send an email I’ll be sure to include links back to you. Each person tagged should create their own post and repeat the process.

This is a long due tag from Rainel, and pass this on to Julai and Yennygirl.
