Protect the Value of your Home 2

4 Saturdays a year:

Spring Day 1

Inspect your roof from a ladder ( walking on it can cause damage). Look for shingles or tiles that have loosened, slipped or blown off. You'll likely want to hire someone to install new shingles (the smallest project will start at $250); ignore the problem and one day you may have to spend $10,000 to $30,000 on a new roof, and even much higher. Ours cost just that, not that it was damaged but hubby is changing it for good, life time service.

Day 2
Repeat the fall inspection of your walls. Change your furnace's air filter again.

That is great advice about the roof. I take it you may have learned the hard way about walking on it too much? Experiences helps and hurts.

I see tons of houses that have neglected the little things for to long and they have turned ugly and cost them quite a bit when it comes time to sell. Thanks for sharing!

yeah, youre welcome; hubby is replacing eveything in the rof now for lifetime service, even though it is still ok, but better do it now than spend so much more later plus the trouble it incurs; but no, i didnt walk upon it, :-D
