Heart to heart

It is very important for us to take good care of our health specially our heart. Our heart works so hard 24/7. It always pumps blood through out our body. It will just stop beating when we are already dead. It deserves to give extra care of it.

For a healthy heart, the following foods are recommended:

a) Fish - especially fatty (such as pilchards and mackerel), for your Omega-3 fatty acids, which can reduce high blood pressure.
b) Garlic - reduces blood pressure, cholesterol, and the risk of blood clots.
c) Vitamin E - can prevent arterial blockage. Vitamin E is found in green vegetables, wholegrain cereals, egg yolks and wheat-germ.
d) Water - vital for the whole body to function properly.
e) Tea - can lower blood pressure and cholesterol levels.
f) Alcohol - LIMITED intake can increase good cholesterol (HLD) and reduce the risk of blood clots.
