The memory walk for Alzheimer's

A Alzheimer’s disease. What is it and what we can do? Many of us are not aware of Alzheimer’s and the appropriate care, so it is time to take a walk to let everyone know about this progressive and fatal brain disease, the sixth-leading death cause in the US. The Alzheimer's Memory Walk® is the largest association event in the United States to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s and all resources for this most common form of dementia. How we can help? We can volunteer and team up with the Association and take the 2-3 mile Memory Walk, and even be the team captain they need. By participating, we are helping to make life better for the millions of Americans, our loved ones, living with Alzheimer’s through the treatments for symptoms, combined with the right services, care and support, and continued research initiated by the Alzheimer’s association and the funding derived from the walk. I have been observing my father-in-law and he has cognitive problems now and while early we can do proper intervention and support. By participating in the Alzheimer’s Memory Walk, you can also help other people, like him. Sign up to be a team captain today.

Rodeo drive plastic surgery

We were on a vacation in Arkansas when the TV shows we watched was about cosmetics surgery. It was in Beverly Hills. It sounds like there are so many people there having had the surgery, and were successful, and obviously, they have the best doctors and surgeons to do the specific job, which can be critical and dangerous to our health when there are some mistakes made and created dangerous reactions that lead to, even death. If having surgery will make us feel good about ourselves, there is nothing wrong to it, just like undergoing surgery to fix clefts, right? It is just up to those courageous who can afford and needed the contentment that plastic surgery will bring them after. The thing to consider most, aside from the surgical facilities that must be built and run at the uppermost standards and to ensure the highest level of safety, is the doctors’ expertise.

We have witnessed it that after pregnancy many people find themselves with excess skin and fat around the belly, decreased strength and tone of the muscles beneath, weight loss or just plain aging. Rodeo Drive’s los angeles tummy tuck addresses these problems. The result is improved body contour and a smoother shape to the abdomen. Rodeo Drive Plastic Surgery brings these same standards to your plastic surgery care, working to provide the best possible surgical outcomes in a setting that embodies the standards and lifestyle you seek.

November is Quality Care for Alzheimer's and Awareness Month! The Alzheimer's Foundation of America spearheaded the collaborative effort with organizations and healthcare professionals across the U.S., the National Memory Screening Day, an annual event held each November, to promote early detection of Alzheimer's disease and related illnesses, and to encourage appropriate intervention, bringing them together for care. Participating sites offer free confidential memory screenings, as well as follow up resources and educational materials to those concerned about memory loss.

As what my father-in-law kept saying, we have feeble minds, or will definitely come to it, that memory screenings make sense for anyone of us concerned about memory loss or experiencing warning signs of dementia; when we have noticed changes in our family and friends, and believe they are at risk due to a family history of Alzheimer's disease or a related illness. Screenings also are appropriate for anyone of us who does not have a concern right now, but who wants to establish a base line score for comparison in the future. A memory screening is not used to diagnose any particular illness and does not replace consultation with a qualified physician or other healthcare professional. A memory screening is a simple and safe evaluation tool that assesses memory and other intellectual functions, and indicates whether additional testing by a qualified healthcare professional is necessary. Memory screening is very important for early detection of Alzheimer's disease and related illnesses so we can take care of it early with appropriate interventions. The key to successful aging is a healthy, common sense lifestyle. The goals are to slow or prevent the loss of brain cells, maintain the brain's capacity to make up for any loss, and let remaining brain cells function well. This requires a healthy body, mind and spirit. In this month of November, locate a memory screening location in their area for their loved ones. Make it your holiday gift for them. And while seeking a cure to Alzheimer's is important, ensuring quality care for those who suffer from the disease must not be overlooked. Mention that a contribution to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America is a good idea.

alcohol rehabs

We have been seeing the effects illicit drugs and alcohol consumptions in the people in our society. It is so sad they let themselves fall into victims and abusers of those substances that their sound judgment are marred by the destruction not just of themselves but our society in general beyond reason. As early as possible they should be brought to alcohol rehabs to save what is left worth saving, their lives. We cannot afford to lose them especially if they are our close friends and loved ones. No matter how bad they become, there is still chance to heal.

Drug Rehabilitation

By any measure, drug addiction is a dire problem in our societies. What’s more disturbing is that we always see it on the headlines each day about different people who would have lived better lives. Drug abuse ruins lives and wrecks families; we have been witnessing that. Drug abuse prevents individuals from maintaining steady employment, or fulfilling their professional responsibilities as they come out of their right minds. Even worse, drug abuse kills. Many thousands of Americans, some are famous people, die of drug overdoses every year. They leave loved ones behind: parents, husbands, wives, children. They also leave a legacy, a stain, a reminder for all of us that the battle against drug abuse is far from won, and that we as a nation and a community have an obligation, to each other and ourselves, to ensure that those individuals who need drug treatment get it.

According to a study conducted by the United States government, 19.1 million Americans use illicit substances every month. What do those numbers mean? On any given day, hundreds of thousands of people dig themselves deeper into the hole of drug abuse and drug addiction. My worst fear is when we, or our loved ones will be caught up in the trap of those physically and psychologically destructing substances. On any given day, in other words hundreds of thousands of people are in dire need of drug rehabilitation. As hard as it might be to believe, drug rehab works, drug recovery is a very real thing, and the right drug rehab facility can make all the difference in the world. That’s the truth about drug abuse and drug recovery: people get better, addicts get healed.

Individuals who seek drug treatment really can overcome drug addiction. Patients who admit themselves to a drug treatment center really do have cause for faith. The road is hardly an easy one, and the way is nothing if not long, but some journeys are too important not to take. And that’s why Cliffside Malibu is here to help. The keys to winning the war against drug addiction lie in intervention and treatment. Their California drug rehab center provides both of these services: intervention to convince drug addicts that they need help, drug treatment to provide that help once it’s been asked for. There’s no excuse for inaction, no reason for hesitation. If you or someone you love needs the services of a drug rehab facility, contact Cliffside Malibu today at 800-501-1988 to see what their California drug rehab center has to offer. Help is waiting, for anyone willing to seek it out. If you’re staring down the barrel of drug addiction, you can’t afford to do anything less. The way is hard, and the way is long, but it’s a road worth traveling, and a road that you’ll never regret having taken.

Alzheimer's or Alzheimer's disease is a major public health challenge. Approximately 24 million people over the age of 65 worldwide are living with Alzheimer’s. The first readily identified symptoms of Alzheimer's disease are usually short-term memory loss and visual-spatial confusion, then progress to more pervasive loss of memory, then to loss of other familiar and well-known skills as well as recognition of objects and persons, deterioration of musculature and mobility, leading to bed fastness, inability to feed oneself, and incontinence.

Actually I am surrounded here with people of over 65 years of age, and thank God they are still as healthy. But how about of those millions of others who are suffering from that elderly disease? In the United States of America, AD was the 7th leading cause of death in 2004, with 65,829 number of deaths (and rising). But it is great to know that there are foundations that raise awareness over them and help raise funds for Alzheimer’s care, and we can be part of them.

The Alzheimer's Association Memory Walk® is the nation's largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer care, support and research – and it calls on now for volunteers of all ages to become champions in the fight against Alzheimer's. They need team captains now to sign up early to recruit a team and raise funds for the cause. There are walks in hundreds of communities. A typical Memory Walk is a 2-3 mile walk held on a weekend morning in the fall.

Memory Walk
Starting a team is easy. Invite three people, and they'll invite three people - and before you know it, you'll have a team. Teams are the heart of Memory Walk - people working together to support the millions affected by Alzheimer's. Team up to have fun, make new friends and support a great cause. Ask for donations from co-workers, friends, neighbors and family members. Many people are happy to help when they know you're fundraising for a good cause. By teaming up with the Alzheimer's Association, you can walk with a purpose – and move us closer to a world without Alzheimer's.
