Coming home

I It's the fifth Thursday. I am glad that hubby is finally coming home after weeks of work, glad for both of us, for him to relax though I know a great construction job awaits us. Now he is in en-route. God has been so faithful with him in all the years of traveling and I trust He will continue to watch over everyone who fears Him.

Bright eyes

116 (): Bright

This is one of those I won't forget about during our travels in India. The boy's bright-eyed expression is so nostalgic to me, of childhood. See how special he is:

I am back in the USA!

Today is Wednesday. Exactly one week since I have been back in America. Sorry guys for keeping silent, poor traveler was jet lagging for few days I had to sort everything out first. I am so glad to be through the trips, (see my adventure here). With my coming back are so awesome things for 2008. Be sharing them later guys. One you see is my new power laptop. It is so good to be back. Thank you for keeping in touch.

Good morning

It is three thirty in the morning. Still jetlagging. I am so glad that all the traveling is over; it is not that long, but the waiting time was making it exhausting, becuase I can not sleep in times like that. Can not be defenseless, had to be aware of the sorroundings. I don't mind too that my baggage locks were lost, before, security inspectors returned everything in order, but I don't care for the locks now because I am home.

Singapore Photo

So I spent 14 hours in Changgi and met some travelers in the airport. This photo is taken by an Indonesian woman I was chatting with during the night. I know, but I just wanted to have some snapshots to cherish the memory being a traveler. More photos here

Singapore snapshots

Hello guys, I finally get online. I arrived home safe, and tired :D, jetlagging, not much sleep, but happy :-). It is so good to be home and spend the remaining weeks of my vacation in the Philippines. My hands were itching already for four days could not get connected to the world. Later did I know, today, that there was a fire near the ISP office, so maybe that was it. Just so glad to be be updated and kind of compete some in the game. Hubby left India today and be home ahead of me. Be well always.

Posting from Singapore

Hello world! Posting from Singapore. Ultimate blogging addict na yata. Just accessing the free internet here. I have 14 hour layover, so obviously I'm gonna spend the night here in Changgi airport. See you around in The Pearl of The Orient Seas, Philippines. Local time in Singapore is eight forty in the evening, the same with Philippine time, it means I'm closer to home. Be well.

It was in discovery travel and living that somebody was quoting "Like all of the travelers, I have seen more than I remember, and I remember more than I have seen". So have I. I have seen so much in this trip for almost a month and they're unforgettable. Good and bad. I am almost finished packing mg baggage for my flight tomorrow. Right. I am living India tomorrow. It will be a long trip for I have fourteen hour layover in Singapore. Home sweet home again.

Hello from India!

Hello world, how are you today. I am thankful for the safe almost 8 hour flights and for being here now in India with hubby. I arrived last night and just so happy, the more because of the funny(?)experiences I had to undergo. Hubby picked me up at the airport, with the hotel driver, and brought us "home". It is a very nice place here, I fell in love with it the moment I came in, and those drivers fighting on Mumbai's busy streets that met me first thing, was just a "show" for me to see the beauty of the apartment we will be living in for a month. There are so many things to keep up with, and I am just glad to be still for now to succomb them all. Be well.

From Philippines to India

I am gonna fly today from Davao to Mumbai via Singapore.
For the travelers:

I got my passport back!

I received my passport back yesterday with the tourist visa for India. I just wonder why they wrote it in my single name when they asked for our marriage certificate and they also got our license. Previous visas were in my married name already, and this one? Well, I'm not sure for now if it matters or not. Well, it is still me, I hope I will not have problems with that in immigration.

Embassy requirements

Now I am required of our marriage certificate. I think this will be the last one the will require of us. Hubby has just faxed both papers to them. By today it must be over. They'll just give me three months this time. The last time was six months. But it is still worth it all. I just can't wait to travel again, and be with my husband, and see exotic places in Incredible India.

Yesterday India Embassy personnel called me for additional papers that were not in the requirements list. I have faxed it to them, and so hubby faxed some papers from home. So far I think everything is okay. Just have to wait few more days and when we can, I will take care of the ticket date, hoping to go to India on earlier time.

Delayed flight

I take it as a miracle to finally find a taxi in an unlikely place. The rain did not stop, and my feet kind of hurt already from the sandals I wore. Again I won't say I was unlucky for that word will spread its venom through my day. I just stayed for maybe 10 minutes in my sister's friend's apartment and ride again to the airport, where I would be "safe" from the shooting in the city. It was really my day. The flight was delayed for just an hour only, yeah. By that time, curfew had been imposed in Luzon. I just laughed off my experience as I shook my head. Goodness. Por bida jud.

I wargot the first flight and the last flight for that day for my only business in Manila was to go to the Indian Embassy to apply for another tourist visa. My old one, which is unused will expire the 20th this month and I'm gonna leave before that and after the new year. So to pass time, I just roam around SM Makati and Glorietta before going back to the airport for the evening flight. I will not say I was unlucky, for the name will live up through my day, but I take it kind of funny experience. I was prepared to meet my sister's friend so I lined up with other people to wait for taxi. And you know how they are when it is raining, they're very precious, or "magpapresyo", and did I say it was raining the whole day? I was patient though, one hour was okay if you see you moved a bit ahead of the line. Then in a sudden there were so many people coming and passing by us from nowhere you would be confused what was happening, it was early yet for offices to close and guess what, SM Mall to close at 4pm? Something's wrong! My eldest sister has been texting me to go away fom the place for they're watching the news and it said in Makati there was coup d'etat! Oh my goodness! Hahaha, I just flew to Manila to almost run into coup d'etat site! Way klaro jud ako lakaw, ambot lang jud, namuot na lang ko. Kina way klarohang lakaw jud.

Days before thursday I had been calling the Indian Embassy for schedules and some things to be sure everything is okay before going there. No problems. The guards' reasons for not allowing us in to the vilage where the Embassy is was that the association in the village restricts that, and they have to follow it. Imagine the disapointment and aggravation to fly hundreds of miles just to go to that place only to be blocked when you can see already the street where the embassy is. I was just up to staring at it. Well, I called the Embassy many times and they didnt say anything about that. Someone also was not let it, an applicant for Kuwait. Later did I know that there was a protest for that association that won't let applicants. But I see they won. Haha no so lucky day for me, and it was raining. So I called the Indian Embassy which is laterally just meters away and asking them about my case. "She" advised me to just mail my application via LBC! Yeah right. Oh well. I just came there to mail my applications. Just glad it went okay in the end.

It's December already! How time flies so past. I have been here for a month now. November was unforgettable for me. This week, after some confusion and apprehension if I will fly to Manila despite the news that there are a total of three typhoons, one present, one coming and one coming back, I was able to be on the plane on Thursday. Surprises, just an observation, Cebu Pacific does not have that "pakulo" already on flight. They got snacks for sale though, but not a blanket. OK. It was raining the whole day in Manila, so my sister's friend who was supposed to meet me at the airport was not able to come. So I took a taxi straight to the Indian Embassy in Makati. Surprises, I was not allowed to go inside the village, which I was able to do so last year!

Tourist

The trip to Manila will be postponed. I will be applying for tourist visa in India this week. Everything will go well. Be spending Christmas there. Advance merry Christmas and happy new year. xoxo
